On December 17 at 5pm at Palácio Anjos we talked about Sexuality Education in Museum Education Services: What are the Challenges? with Rosalia Vargas, Cristina Gameiro and Joana Henriques, and moderated by Marta Crawford and Fabrícia Valente.

Rosalia Vargas has degrees in Philosophy, Adult Education, Education and the Media and policies of Scientific and Technological Culture. She is currently President of Ciência Viva – National Agency for Scientific and Technological Culture – and director of the Pavilion of Knowledge – Ciência Viva Centre. He is also a member of the General Council of Universidade Aberta; Chairman of the School Council of IGOT – Instituto de Geografia e
Member of the International Committee of the Copernicus Science Centre, Warsaw; and member of the Advisory Council for Monitoring the National Arts Plan. She was recently voted one of the 50 most influential personalities in the world’s museum and cultural attractions industry (Blooloop, 2022).

Cristina Gameiro is coordinator and programmer of the Education Service of the Museu Coleção Berardo, and curator and educator. She is the founder and coordinator of the Education Service of Casa da Cerca – Centro de Arte Contemporânea de Almada, responsible for numerous educational projects in different cultural spaces and museums. She is responsible for the conception and orientation of various educational activities, in places such as Museu Coleção Berardo, Fundação Calouste Gulbenkian – Centro de Arte Moderna, Museu Nacional de Arte Contemporânea – Museu do Chiado, Casa da Cerca, Centro Cultural de Belém, Feira de Arte de Lisboa, etc. She is also co-author of Modern and Contemporary Art Collection – My First Collection.

Joana Simões Henriques has a degree in Social and Cultural Communication from the Portuguese Catholic University, specialising in Cultural Communication at LUMSA – Libera Università Maria Ss. Assunta, Rome, Italy – and Master in Cultural Management by ISCTE – Instituto Universitário de Lisboa. She has collaborated with the department of curatorship and collection management and the department of art education of CAM – Centro de Arte Moderna, Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation, Lisbon; with the direction of the Paulo Amaro Contemporary Art Gallery; and, since 2010, she collaborates with the EDP Foundation in the areas of curatorship and educational programming in museums. He has also published several texts on contemporary art. He is a member of the cluster Art, Museums and Digital Cultures of the IHA / FCSH, Universidade Nova de Lisboa.
