National Sexual Health Day

Since 2021, Portugal is the only country in the world with a National Sexual Health Day.

It is celebrated on the 4th of September and, this year, Musex joins the world celebrations of the WAS – World Association for Sexual Health, which has chosen for 2022 the theme “Let’s talk about pleasure?”. This is a day to raise awareness of the importance of Sexual Health as a fundamental dimension of health and well-being and to recognise Sexual Rights as human rights.

Between 11am and 6pm, at Palácio Anjosyou can get to know the work of entities such as: Casa Qui – associação de solidariedade social, UMAR – União de Mulheres Alternativa e Resposta, Omgyno, GAT – Grupo de Ativistas em Tratamentos, IPA – Associação para a Promoção da Igualdade, CIG – Comissão para a Cidadania e a Igualdade de Género, and participate in a special program of talks and workshops that will address issues such as sexual education, sexual rights, sexual violence, sexual health or menstrual health. Check the full programme here. To take part in each initiative, you can register at the venue from 11am.

On this day, at 12pm and 5pm, we will have the usual guided tours. To participate, you must pick up a ticket at the ticket office 1 hour before the beginning of the visit.
