On October 7, at Palácio Anjos, join us at 5pm for the unprecedented performance “The Most Wuthering Heights Day Ever”, for the first time in Portugal, as part of the parallel programme of the exhibition Amor Veneris.
Patricia Pascoal, from SPSC, brings this event to Portugal in a partnership with Musex and Samantha Wareing, international coordinator of the event, inspired by Wuthermothers – Shambush, who created and presented it in 2013.
People should wear red clothes and a black belt/scarf, just like the singer in the original video. And it is important that they learn the choreography from the tutorial.
In Portugal, this event, based on the book “Wuthering Heights” by Emily Bronte and the song of the same name by Kate Bush, aims to draw attention to violence in intimate relationships, which is mostly directed at women. We want to denounce, through this collective performance, the violence in relationships that is the subject of reflection in the exhibition Amor Veneris, more specifically in the core without consent, where we address violence against women.
On October 7, join us from 5pm to learn the choreography with Vera Mahsati. At 6pm we will start the joint performance, against violence in intimate relationships and in defence of human and sexual rights, where all people are welcome, whatever their gender or age.
