Pop-up visit with Cláudia Camacho and performance “Carne Poética” with Li Alves, Maria Giulia Pinheiro and Luísa Sequeira
performance
free entry performance, until the room capacity.
On August 5th, at Palácio Anjos, join us for a late afternoon that starts at 6pm with a pop-up visit by the artist Cláudia Camacho to her work in the exhibition, followed, at 7pm, by the performance Carne Poética, with Li Alves, Maria Giulia Pinheiro and Luísa Sequeira.
Cláudia Camacho became the first independent female perfumer in Portugal and, for the exhibition, created the work Perfumes, composed of four fragrances: Vatsyayana, Cleopatra VII Filopátor, Tseu-Hi and Josefina de Beauharnais, which challenge the moral responsibilities of fertility and claim pleasure equally, regardless of gender.
The poets Li Alves and Maria Giulia Pinheiro join forces in the performance Carne Poética, a powerful and intense fusion where they present authorial poems accompanied by expanded cinema and images manipulated by Luísa Sequeira, which intend to challenge each one’s imagination.
To accompany the pop-up visit, you will have to buy a ticket for the exhibition (5 €) and book your place at the Palácio Anjos ticket office, starting one hour before the event. Participation in the visit is limited to 20 people.
The entrance to the performance is free, until the room capacity.
The exhibition Amor Veneris — Journey to Female Sexual Pleasure gives impetus to a monthly activity schedule, including workshops, conversations, family activities or pop-up visits to the exhibition and performances, always with the purpose of reflecting on the importance of sexual pleasure and female sexuality.
